Dr. Mehveen Qureshi
Dr. Mehveen (or “Dr. M!” as she’s known to her youngest patients) was born and raised in downstate New York. She attended Cedar Crest College for her undergraduate degree and Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine for her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. She always knew she wanted to become a dentist, but it was during her time in dental school that she realized her dream of helping children especially. At Case Western, she carried out a research study on social disparities in oral health among children – a project that became published and won her the prestigious Pierre Fauchard Award.
Dr. M moved back to New York to complete a two-year residency in pediatric dentistry at Long Island Jewish Medical Center/Cohen Children’s Medical Center where she developed expertise in treating patients with complex medical histories, those with special health care needs, and dental and facial emergency trauma cases. She is a board-eligible pediatric dentist with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, and New York State Dental Association.
During her free time, Dr. M enjoys playing tennis, hiking, reading in the sun, and watching the night sky. As a teenager, she worked at her local bakery, and she still loves baking and decorating cakes for her family during the holidays. You’ll hear her rooting for the NY Giants and Rangers during football and hockey seasons. Dr. M recently got married and is very excited to start this new journey with her husband!
